This antique mahogany pedestal desk has many fine features & is in excellent original condition. It’s George III style & dates to around the 1930-50’s period. The top has a three hand coloured tooled leather writing surfaces. The right hand one has a small line mark which may have been an old repair, however it’s all fixed down well & just looks part of the overall character. This desk has a polished panelled back & all the pedestals are panelled inside & out, plus they also have canted corners & bracket feet. The drawers are graduated in depth, with fine dovetails & original brass handles. Unusually, the bottom deepest drawers have locks, although they didn’t come with keys. This fine quality desk has flame mahogany drawer fronts & separates into three sections for easy transportation.
