Antique Edwardian Mahogany Inlaid Writing Desk
Lovely Antique Inlaid Edwardian Mahogany Writing Desk and dating from around 1900. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a serpentine shaped back with moulded edge and carved cartouche to the centre. To either side are two letter racks with shaped lids which have chevron inlay to the edges and are inlaid to the centre with a lovely Faince design. It has a moulded edge to the desk top with original leather skiver and above a central drawer with two drawers to each pedastal. All the drawers are mahogany lined and have original silver plated handles to the serpentine shaped fronts. Each drawer is beautifully inlaid and it stands on carved cabriole legs on castors joined by a shaped X frame stretcher.
