This hugely attractive William IV period English side chair offers classic style and is presented in superb antique condition.
It will serve wonderfully as an office chair, study seat or hallway feature piece.
A well proportioned and classically styled chair with seat upholstered in a top quality textile. The seat pad is the 'drop-in' style and therefore recovering would be straightforward should your room design demand so.
The chair is a top quality example with a strong mahogany frame presenting a pleasing supportive back with hand carved decorative cross splat and wonderfully decorated top rail.
Riding upon desirable reeded front legs under a straight front rail with moulded edge.
The supportive seat offers a rewarding seating experience with the useful seat height of 46cm (18.1") and a generous width of 48cm (18.9") creating a comfortable seating position.
The piece is solid of joint and an ideal chair for daily use.
