Dating to the end of the 19th century, this German solid pine wardrobe is in very good condition and will split down for ease of getting it upstairs....
Standing on turned feet, the wardrobe has a full width plinth drawers which is constructed with hand cut dovetail joints and has later turned wooden knobs.
To the inside there is a full width hanging rail fitted which is enclosed with a pair of beautiful relief carved panel doors complete with original escutcheon and working lock with key. This is flanked with carved and moulded corners and a carved arched pediment ogee cornice.......
This is a lovely piece of German antique furniture which would compliment the bedroom of any home traditional or modern.
There has in the past been a small amount of insect attack to the wardrobe but this is minimal and has been sprayed with a 20 year treatment.
The wardrobe measures
47.5 inches wide / 51.25 to outside of cornice
22 inches deep / 23.75 to outside of cornice / 19.25 inches internal
76.5 inches high.
