Antique Victorian Papier Mache Chair
This antique Victorian papier mache chair is one of a similar pair that I obtained from a house in Hampstead. They are different, but are the same kind of model. This one has the usual mother of pearl inlays & other decorative features. It has the classic Victorian spoon shaped back & cabriole legs. The seat was probably cane originally, but it has been upholstered a long time ago. Please enlarge all the images to see the general condition. It’s by no means perfect & would need restoration in places, although it all seems to be there. We have tried to show most of the defects. If someone wants to buy the two chairs together I will do a better price.
