6 x William IV Silver Teaspoons, James Beebe, 1836

This is a set of six good quality Georgian Sterling Silver Teaspoons from the reign of William IV in the ever-popular Fiddle pattern. The spoons are made in London by silversmith James Beebe and date to 1836. James Beebe was a specialist spoon maker who operated in London from roughly 1810 to 1850 and his work is of consistently high quality. The finials are elegantly engraved with the initial "J" and the hallmarks, on the underside of the stem, are well struck and clear to read.
The Spoons are in good overall condition with only the regular wear and tear you would expect after over 180 years of use. One of the bowls has a couple of dings in the bottom which I have tried to show in a specific photograph. This is a lovely set of 6 fully matched Georgian teaspoons that are as good to use today as they were when they were made or would grace any collection. Please make sure to view all the photos.
The spoons are each 13.5cm long and the set of 6 together weigh in at a hefty 100.0g of solid Sterling Silver.
The hallmarks are the lion passant for Sterling Silver, the leopard's head assay mark for London, the distinctive date letter "A" for 1836, the William IV duty mark and the JB makers' mark for James Beebe.
Shipping in the UK is £4.00 by Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For.
