4 Vintage Oxford University Silver Teaspoons, 1973

Here we have a set of four Vintage Sterling Silver Teaspoons bearing the crest of Oxford University. The spoons have an attractive shell and chevron decoration down the front of the stems with a round finial featuring the coat of arms of Oxford University.
The teaspoons are well made in a good gauge of silver in Birmingham for the well known Oxford retailer Payne & Son and date to 1973.
Condition is very good with no dings or dents and only the most superficial surface wear that would expect after nearly 50 years. They appear to be a treasured souvenir rather than teaspoons for use. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
Each teaspoon is 12.2cm / 4.8ins long and the set of 4 together weighs in at a substantial 86.4g / 3oz of solid Sterling Silver.
The hallmarks on the underside of the stem are well struck and clear to read. They show the lion passant for Sterling Silver, the anchor assay mark for Birmingham, the date letter Y for 1973 and the P&S sponsors' mark for Payne & Son.
Shipping in the UK is £4 by Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For.
Overseas customers, please ask us about shipping costs to your country before making a purchase.
