Early 19th.c. French oak armoire or wardrobe c.1800. Shaped doors with a reeded centre moulding, decorative brass escutcheon plates and large brass hinges. Fitted inside with a rail for hanging. Shaped apron running across the front and sides of the base, and short shaped legs. Oak panelled sides, with chestnut backboards. Very good condition and particularly good colour. Key supplied.
Interesting labels to the rear recording the piece as having been sent from France to an address in Hyde Park, London and also having spent time in the Harrods Furniture Depository.
