An interesting antique 19th century carved oak hall chair / side chair. With arched top rail over a fan shaped back splat, solid seat and square legs united by cross stretcher. Profusely carved back and unusually carved with repeating patterns of stylised cats to the front of the seat rail.

Solid and sturdy with a few historic mends to top rail and back splat (see photo). Old brass studs to perimeter of seat.
