This is a charming Flemish oil painting on canvas depicting a scene from everyday life in the 18th century. The piece is in excellent condition with a young kitchen maid in bold red dress and simple white cotton headdress holding a game bird looking out of a large arched window opening. This in beautifully framed in a good quality antique gilded swept frame which measures 27 cms by 30 cms overall.

PROVENANCE:
From the London residence of Lewis & Hylda Gilbert Sheldrake Place Kensington.
Film Producer and Screewnwriter Lewis Gilbert was best known for 007 movies Moonraker, You only live twice and the Spy who loved me as well as Alfie, Educating Rita & Shirley Valentine.
