1930s Vintage Oak Twin Pedestal Desk
1930s Vintage Oak Twin Pedestal Desk by Crusader of London
A great looking double pedestal oak desk by Crusader, St James Square, London presented in good historical order. A nice one with panelled sides and backs for a change.
This one was found in Lancashire having enjoyed a life in an Engineers office alongside a few other pieces.
Crusader did not make too many of these “to the floor” twin pedestals and this one comes with typing slides and as mentioned panelled sides and rear in darker oak and a little set of original iron castors under the base. We have a long central drawer, a flight of 4 drawers to the left and a flight of 3 drawers, one being a double file size to the right - both topped with pull out typing slides - great for your cuppa.
Workshop report – The desk survives in good historic order – we have lubricated the castors, bees waxed the whole piece and ensured the drawers are running fine. We do have marks and the odd chip to the top, one of the typing slides is marked and all drawers are clean with historic marks inside. Nice original oak handles are in situ. Expect a desk with history rather than a sanded down and recoloured piece. We like this one full of character and style.

Terms and conditions
If you are not happy with an item you have 14 days to return it. This is providing that the item is returned, in the condition it left us, within 14 days. Please note that items must be wrapped and insured, with the return cost being covered by you. Once the item is back with us, having had a once over in the workshop, your refund will be issued.
On the rare occasion that an item is damaged in transit, please notify us immediately or within 48 hours and provide us with details and images so we can best remedy the situation.
