17thC William & Mary Silver Trefid Spoon 1694


Very nice late 17th century silver trefid spoon with plain rat tail to the reverse of the bowl . Hallmarked for London 1694, maker's mark of WB under a coronet (documented but untraced) and owner's initial S over NE to the terminal.
It measures 18.8cm (7 3/8") long and 4.5cm (1 3/4") wide and weighs 43g/1.4ozt. Condition is excellent with no damage and light surface wear good and commensurate with age. The date mark is slightly rubbed but legible. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
