16th Century Oak Carving - Green Man & Cherub

A wonderful large oak screen possibly from a staircase/gallery landing area? Carved to be seen from both sides, the cherub entwined in the foliage emanating from the green man below. The Tudor Rose's above and daisy's below have been used for centuries, I believe this is possibly mid to late Elizabethan in date and English?
The screen appears to have been made in 2 sections and joined down the middle, there is evidence of very old Dowl holes where it was fixed.
Old paint servives on the front with a hint of red on one of the roses. Many screens including rood screens in churches were over painted in the middle of the 1600s.
Old damage is evident with some filler in areas, old worm treated but no sign of fresh flight holes.
The original oak frame has been set within a strong and solid wood frame to compliment it and help to display it.
Very heavy but what a display piece - The total size with frame is 71cm high x 61.5cm wide
