Description

A beautiful late 18th-century cherrywood pembroke table which may well hail from the eastern side of England, closer to the source of this quality of timber. Trees capable of growing large enough to produce wide fruitwood planks of this calibre are much more a continental product. One always thinks of East Anglia when a piece of cherry furniture turns up, more often encountered in chairs in my experience.
