Description

This magnificent oak Carmarthen press has an unusual arrangement of drawers: three over two over one. Now with two doors to the upper section, it would originally have had a lift-up lid, but it has been superbly converted, for convenience, probably in the C19th. It bears the initials LM in the centre section. These could have been the initials of the original owner, or perhaps of a betrothed couple. It is in sound condition, and ready to carry on giving for another 150 years or more.
