Description
A stunning 10 inch (25.5cm) plate designed by Graham Sutherland for the 1934 Art in Industry and Harrods exhibitions. Both Clarice Cliff and Foley China provided ceramics for the exhibition by high profile artists of the day including Paul Nash, Laura Knight, Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant.In very good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. A few light surface marks visible when viewed up close and held to the light. The plate has a nice ring when tapped. White light is from the camera. Fully marked to the back with signature.
