Description
An extremely rare Foley saucer, designed by Vanessa Bell for the 1934 Harrods and 1935 Art in Industry exhibitions. Hand decorated with a lustre finish in grey, yellow and purple. The saucer is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing - and with an all over decoration, it displays perfectly as a small plate. The saucer rings perfectly when tapped. Please note some camera reflection from the lustre at the top and bottom of the photo. Vanessa Bell signature to the base of each piece. 14.5cm diaDate1930s :
