Description
A rare red and blue set of 1954 12 Gilbey's gin coasters titled 'The Signs We Drink under' designed by Edward Bawden and initialed 'EB'. Each one represents a different sign of the zodiac and features an amusing, drink related horoscope on the reverse. Line drawn from linocuts. Unframed. All are completely intact with no rips or tears. There is some light staining in places and the previous owner has put a small reference number on each. Please see the photos.Date1950s :
