Description

This is a beautifully painted antique portrait miniature in gilt frame, depicting a decorated gentleman, wearing a medal on a red ribbon.



It could be a portrait of Frederick the Great, but I'm not entirely sure.

Either way, it's a fine quality artwork, signed ‘Weber’ or ‘Weher’ to the right.



The back of the frame is labelled 'CASA DELL'ARTE ROMAGNOLI, Via XX Settembre, 132, Palazzo Teatro Margherita'.



The painting is behind glass and it measures 6 x 8 cm, in a 20 x 22 cm frame.

There are some marks & wear to the frame and the paper on the reverse is slightly peeled away at the edges.
But the visible part of the painting itself is in excellent condition (the markings in the photos are to the glass).
