Covered with an unctuous black glaze, paling to an ochre tone below the mouth rim, thickening and stopping unevenly above the foot.

Large and beautiful antique Chinese black/brown glazed bottle vase,the ovoid body with a tall cylindrical neck where the glaze lightens to a brown colour at the top, raised on a wood stand.
Mid 19th century.

33cm without stand,38cm with stand.

There is a firing dimple on the neck,the glaze is uneven at the footrim which has a chip,there are a handle of light surface scratches otherwise very good condition.
