Description

A Beautiful Jiaqing period (1796-1820) compressed langyao bottle vase with a low bellied body,it`s unusual proportions making it quite a rarity.
The red crackle glaze contains attractive lighter streaks which are best viewed under sunlight for the full effect and culminates with a mushroom coloured rim.
A very tricky item to photograph so I`ve had to take the best shots from different times/conditions.
The base has a very fine crackle and an old sticker with langyao written on it.
Valued £800-£1200 in 2011.
A stunning piece of 200 year old Chinese heritage that would grace any collection.

MEASUREMENTS: 6 1/2 inches(16.7cm) tall

CONDITION: Minor surface wear,the Langyao glaze has some lighter flecks formed in manufacture,excess glaze on the footrim has been ground,overall amazingly good condition.
