Description

An early Victorian light Oak Drum table by one of the finest cabinet making firms of the 19th century " T & G Seddon". This beautifully proportioned table with, having a circular leathered inset top of which is decorated in gilt and blind tooling. Having 8 drawers 4 of which are dummy. The whole raised on a substantial tapering pedestal with turned and gadrooned carving, having a triform base with turned squat feet retaining the original brass sunken castors. Superb colour, patina and condition throughout. Retains the original makers label with hand written inventory number.

T & G Seddon were awarded the Royal Warrant in 1832 as recognition of their refurbishment of Windsor Castle.
