A fine quality Victorian heavy gauge copper mixing bowl.Riveted hanging ring to one side
Stamped Army and Navy (CSL) Co-Operative Society Ltd. The society was formed in 1871 by a group of Army and Navy officers. It was their intention to "provide articles of domestic consumption and general use to its members at the lowest numerative rates.
The underside has a wonderful untouched patina whilst the interior has a glorious lustrous glow from many years of polishing.
A wonderful example of Britsh manufacturing.
