George III Apprentice Indenture in the Country of Westmorland, dated 1st June 1803, between John Bowman & John Thwaytes. Churchwardens, and George Gibson & John Hall, Overseers of the Poor. Apprenticed William Moss aged 12 years to Thomas Holme, until he was 21 years old. William was to be apprenticed in the Business and Occupation of a Husbandman(farmer). He was to be paid Two Pounds and Two Shillings a year, plus his board and food provided.
Printed Letterpress with a Good Decorative Initial Letter 'T', onto Paper. Has a nice Paper Duty Franking of Two Pence and an Embossed Duty Stamp of VI pence. Six seals but only 5 names to the seals.
