Description
The St. James's Evening Post from Thursday 16th to Saturday 18th October 1718.The Newspaper reports on Admiral George Byng and the Spanish Fleet. Other articles report Poland possibly entering a war with the Czars.
The Admiralty being advised that His Majesty's Sloop The Ferrer, has been seized by the Spaniards. An Eagle Galley, with 100 Flons on board for the Plantations, put into Diepe as the Ships Company feared the Flons would Mutiny.Trials at The Old-Baily.etc, etc.,
There is a Red Half Penny Copperplate printed Tax Duty Stamp on the third page. (Newspaper Duty Tax of 1712 -1855).
Various adverizing on the fourth page. Printed Letterpress for T. Warner, at the Black-Boy in Paton-Noster-Row, London.
