Theatre Programme from The Shakespeare Memorial Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon, dated Sunday 24th April.A Chopin Recital by Pouishnoff. The Shakespeare Memorial Theatre was destroyed by fire in 1926. The Royal Shakespeare Threatre was rebuilt in 1932. (Therefore the preformance was between 1921 and 1926). Leff Nicolas Pouishnoff was a Ukrainian born World Class Pianist and Composer who studied at St. Petersburg Conservatory under Anna Yesipova. He was born in 1891 -1959. Pouishnoff escaped Russia in 1919 and arrived in London in 1921, where he made his home.
