Description

An elegant and well proportioned Regency period English mahogany triple pedestal dining table, constructed from well figured solid mahogany this handsome table comprises two D-shaped ends, centre section and two extension leaves which provide various length options. With a reeded edge and standing on ring turned gun barrel tripartite and quadrapartite supports with reeded splayed legs and brass toe castors. Fully extended measures 106 ¾" x 41 ⅞" and can be used as just two ends, ends with leaf, etc.

In good condition and recently repolished by hand using traditional French polish and wax, impressed with number ‘2220’ to the edge of each leaf, swivelling bars to the underside help support the leaves and brass forks secure the sections and leaves together, the top has been raised at some point giving a generous 28 ⅜in (72cm) of legroom, two brass forks are replacements.
