Description

A good Victorian mahogany bookcase dating to circa 1860. A classic design with a moulded cornice above a pair of arched glazed doors enclosing four adjustable shelves (one shelf not shown). The projecting base with two panelled doors and a cupboard and shelves behind, all standing on a plinth base.

With a beautiful colour and patina and original ‘VR secure lever’ locks supplied with a working key. In good condition with minor small nibbles to veneer edges, old scuffs and marks and a small filled area to the right side of the top surface.

For transportation and moving this bookcase splits into four sections (cornice, top section, base section and plinth) and the upper shelves can be removed.
