Description

This is an attractive mid Victorian burr walnut, ebony and boxwood inlaid credenza dating to circa 1860. With elegant gilt metal mounts and bowed glass doors it features a wide band of Tunbridge Wells style inlay to the frieze. The interior has been relined in a neutral cream coloured fabric and each section has two glass shelves, all the doors are fitted with locks and it comes with a working key. It is raised on turned ebonised feet, the ones to the front with gilt metal mounts.

This credenza is in lovely condition for it’s age, the interior is clean, there are scuffs to the feet consistent with age and use. The very back edge of the frieze has some small losses to the stringing on the left hand side which are barely noticeable, the top has old dark scratches and some small watermarks near the centre and on the centre join.
