Description

A good set of eight solid rosewood balloon-back dining chairs dating to the early Victorian period. With waisted backs and pierced and acanthus carved top and cross rails. The D-shaped seats have serpentine fronts and pink velvet upholstery with a continuous band of narrow moulding below running along the seat rail and down the slender cabriole legs which terminate in scroll feet. The back legs are slightly tapering and sweep to the back.

These are in good original solid condition with no wobbles, signs of breaks or splits and free of wood worm. The seat upholstery does have some marks but still have plenty of life left in them if you did not want to reupholster them.
