A striking pair of bronze sculptures depicting the Marly Horses, after Guillaume Coustou. Each figure captures a dynamic moment of tension, with a rearing stallion restrained by a muscular handler. The detailing is exceptional, from the expressive movement of the horses to the textured terrain of the base. Signed “Coustou,” these mirror-image bronzes are cast with fine definition and patinated to a rich, warm tone. A dramatic and well-balanced pair, ideal for mantel or console display.
