Description

Fine large early 20th century Arts & Crafts copper tray designed by John Williams for the Newton School of Metal Work.
The twin-handled tray features repousse work of Tudor roses and stylized leaves on a hammered background, very typical of the period.
This design has been firmly attributed to John Williams by the excellent and educational website, Hammerandhand.
The tray dates to around 1900 and measures 61 x 37 including handles.
In lovely condition with minor surface wear commensurate with age and handling.
