A rare Italian Millefiori art glass duck

Description

An exquisite Italian coloured art glass duck completely hand blown and made from millefiori glass which is a difficult medium produced with a complicated process using slithers from coloured glass canes. In this example, a mixture of light and dark blue, red, yellow, green and white has been further enhanced by infusing gold. The well modelled head is also gold detailed with an eye that is black and white and an orange glass beak. This delightful glass sculpture has a jewel-like quality that complements any collection or home.
