Pair of Chinese Elephant Form Garden Seats

Description

This is a good pair of early 20th century Chinese porcelain garden seats in the form of Indian elephants, dating from around 1920. The elephants with Houdah are ornately adorned with Regal paraphernalia in the Indian Raj style with gilt highlights. The pair are in perfect condition and are raised on substantial bases with a biscuit glaze repeat design and a beautiful deep green glaze surface.

These are a fine decorative pair in lovely order and an imposing size at 58 cms high by 25 cms wide by 50 long.
