Description

This is a stunning William & Mary style wing armchair with a fine shape and elegant proportions dating from the mid 19th century, circa 1860. The chair has been beautifully reupholstered very recently in this bold cut velvet cloth. The handsome chair has tall slender wings with fine high arch back and scrolling swept arms and wings. The walnut frame has attractive shaped H stretcher and turned front legs with their original brass and porcelain castors. The separate squab cushion is feather filled making this a most comfortable seat. This is in excellent condition throughout ready for use.
The fine chair has very attractive proportions measuring 123 high by 85 wide and 85 cms deep. The seat is 46 cms high from the floor and the cushion is approximately 50 cms by 50 cms.
