Description

This is a late Victorian tropical bird diorama attractively set in glass dome dating from around 1870. The display comprises of a Brazilian Tanager, a Paradise Tanager and a small humming bird, all mounted upon a central branch, amidst tall dry grasses and mosses enclosed beneath a small period glass dome that sits on its original gilded oval base raised on four bun feet. The piece measures 20 cms wide 10 cms deep by 33 cms high overall.
