Description

This is a stunning 19th century military chest beautifully restored to outstanding condition. The chest has a gorgeous colour with glowing copper panels centred by nut brown leather panels held in place with decorative brass close nail detail. The edges are all lined in contrasting tan hide with further close nail detail and large brass head studding. The corners are protected with solid copper caps and the chest has its original super quality patented brass clasps and heavy, spring loaded brass handles. This has been relined beautifully in black cotton which is again close nailed in decorative brass head pins. A very fine chest indeed.

The chest bears the Home Counties Regiment crest and has good proportions measuring 80 cms by 50 cms by 50 cms.
