Description
The glow of walnut conjures up the essence of an English Christmas. It is exemplified in this beautifully proportioned Chest on Stand. The drawers are featherbanded and framed with a double moulding. The base has an arabesque shaped edge that is finished with a flat beading, giving this piece of furniture an enduring crispness after 300 years. It sits on cabriole legs. The front legs are in fine condition but the back legs are later replacements in oak. The back board of the base is also replaced.
