Description

A quite superb and imposing walnut coffee table. The top has a shaped and cross banded edge, bordering a quarter veneered centre in decoratively grained burr walnut. The frieze features profuse, wonderfully detailed, and crisply carved rococo detail including shells, acanthus, and vine carving. The table is raised on bold French style cabriole legs with shell and harebell carved knees, terminating in scroll toes. We have handled many tables of a similar design in the past, but this is by far the finest quality one we have had the pleasure of owning.

Condition and Details of Restoration
This table is in original condition, and is structurally completely sound. The polish has been revived by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner.
