A handsome, useful, and good quality Edwardian mahogany pedestal desk of nine drawers with inset red leather scriber and original shell motif brass cup handles.

Condition and Details of Restoration

This desk is in original untouched condition and is structurally sound. The polish has been revived, by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner. The leather scriber is not original but has been in for some time and bears evidence of use, but no tears. There are some old marks underneath the polish as might be expected on examples of this age, particularly to the plinth bases which are always susceptible to errant feet. In our opinion the photos are representative of the worst of these.
