A wonderful large vintage floor standing globe, made in Germany and dating from the 1960’s.

It is a very impressive and unusual item, it has an adjustable stand so the height can be raised and lowered. This was made by JRO Globus who have been reputable globe makers in Germany for over a century.

The huge globe stands on a metal shaft terminating in a Bakelite base. There is some age related wear and patina, this displays lots of character and charm.
