Absolutely Stunning! - Iconically Art Deco this beautiful Octagonal original 1920's Powder Compact, fully enamelled in a beautiful blue guilloche enamel. 90, year old, there is a small loop to the top, for either attaching to a chatelaine or as a pendant - Measuring c. 1.5/8" inch diameter (4.1cm) - fully hallmarked for respected English silversmith Henry Matthews of Birmingham, assayed in 1922 - This is a top quality piece in the finest of condition, the enamel is immaculate, a small slight ping, commensurate with having been pre-loved is present to one corner of silver, but does not detract - all clasps and hinges perfect, opening to reveal a gilded interior nice clear, slightly convex bevelled mirror. Sure to delight the most discerning of collectors!.
