In super vintage condition, this solid silver, guilloche enamel powder compact is clearly and fully Hallmarked for 1928 for Gieves of London, crown retailers and outfitters to the Royal Navy. The enamel is in excellent order, no damage whatsoever, the crown sitting beautifully to the top. Dating from the Art Deco period, it measures just under 2"inch, which is typical of the period. All clasps and hinges are in good order, opening to reveal a gilded interior and nice clear mirror. Becoming difficult to find these commemorative enamels in this sort of condition.
