Description

This is a fine piece, with an absolutely exquisite enamel guilloche design to the front - so beautifully enamelled in a baby blue, with a delicate design to the centre - edged in a further silver design to the outer edge - very Art Nouveau. Dating c. 1915, it is a period piece in immaculate order by John Gloster respected silversmith of Birmingham, it is stamped made in England. The silvermakers mark is present but in the absence of official hallmarks will have to sell as "white metal" and this is reflected in the price. All clasps and hinges are perfect, snapping shut nicely. A fine piece that will delight the most discerning of buyers.
