This is a beautiful, rare, collector's dream of a Compact - a fabulous book piece dating c.1950, manufactured under the trade name of Le Rage by Evans Components, England. At 50 years plus, this is an elegant, novelty piece, in absolutely fabulous vintage condition, it was known as the Rendevous Compact - as the clock dial to the front could be set, and the central indicator moves to the particular activity, one could choose from Bridge, Hairdresser, Cocktails, Cinema, lunch, Milliner, Tennis, Theatre or Dinner - what else could a girl have in her diary? This is a fantastic example, complete with its original signed Le Rage puff and sifter which are in MINT condition, the original box is also present. All clasps and hinges are perfect opening to reveal a perfectly clear mirror. Le Rage compacts were only manufactured for a very short time during the 1950's making them very desirable and collectable. This will certainly not disappoint the most discerning of collectors and will make a wonderful and unusual gift for the lady who has absolutely everything - or indeed just has a very busy diary!.
