A dramatic South German secretaire chest of drawers, made from a variety of exotic hardwoods including Macassar Ebony, Walnut and Satinwood, with beautiful chevron design parquetry inlaid drawers and sides with brass mounted handles and escutcheons. The secretaire has a very handsome interior with chevron banded drawers and central cupboard with a leather insert writing surface. Circa 1810.DateEarly 19th Century :
