Description

This is an upright medium speed air meter by Henry Hughes and Son Ltd. The dial reads air meter to 100,000 meters and incorporates three subsidiary dials measuring 100's, 1000's and 10,000's, with a large sweep hand which is graduated from 0 - 100. Henry Hughes and Son Ltd became Kelvin and Hughes in 1947 so we can date this example to before that date. Mahogany fitted case is also in sound condition and still has the spigot attachment. All the aluminium vanes are undamaged and spin very easily.
