A fabulous quality Regency birds eye maple and padouk centre table centred with a figured walnut diaper bordered by padouk line inlay which extends in a dot and line detail. The frieze detailed with reel work in padouk. The central turned stem with raised oval cabochons in padouk interspersed with carved lotus leaf detailing. Three tripartite legs of hipped and stepped form with scroll toes the legs with a rare and unusual carving of leaf or scale form. Excellent condition. Circa 1825. Measures 54" diameter x 29" high.
