Description
Late 19C tin hastener, fitted withoriginal bottle jack and hooks, and with viewing door to the rear.When in use the hastener was placed in fron tof the open fire and the heat was trapped and reflected by the curved chamber which hastened the cooking time of the meat or bird suspended and turning on the bottle jack. Progress was checked via the viewing door.
