Pair Vintage 1920s Oak 4 Drawer School Chests

A good looking matching pair of 1920s chests of 4 drawers originally from a School and possibly used to store books, paper and the like. These have a decent suggestion of Cotswold School about them - modest, practical, well-crafted and honest in design with the attractive angled oak handles finishing off the look. They survive in good historic condition.
These great looking pieces could easily work as bedside drawers, in a hallway or fit nicely either side of a fireplace.
Workshop report – The chests are age faded with genuine marks and sit firm with no wobbles. The oak handles are original and the drawers are moving freely with clean inners. We have treated some old redundant worm as a precaution to the side panels and all is fine. The pieces are ready to place, having been lightly waxed without taking away their past.
Always good to find a pair British late 1920s.

When purchasing from us we include delivery within mainland UK, excluding Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Isles, in the purchase price and liaise with you to ensure delivery is as swift and as smooth as possible. We try our best to deliver within 14 working days. Please call or email for quotes to Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isles and for World-wide shipping.

Items are delivered by private courier, usually this is a one man service. If you require a two person delivery, please let us know. Smaller items are wrapped and packed (into recycled boxes where possible) and sent via a national courier service, tracking details will be provided once an item has been collected from us.

Terms and conditions
If you are not happy with an item you have 14 days to return it. This is providing that the item is returned, in the condition it left us, within 14 days. Please note that items must be wrapped and insured, with the return cost being covered by you. Once the item is back with us, having had a once over in the workshop, your refund will be issued.

On the rare occasion that an item is damaged in transit, please notify us immediately or within 48 hours and provide us with details and images so we can best remedy the situation.
